Just another update

One of the things I struggle with the most is that I want the weight to come off quicker than it went on. I know it didn't happen go on over night and it's not going to come off over night. I'm hoping by the end of summer to be down 15 pounds. I think that is doable in that there's about 10 weeks till the end of summer and I'm already down about 5 pounds. I figure at 1 lb per week that should be a pretty good goal.

It's interesting that there are definitely some days that I am under my calorie goal but not at all hungry. I find on those days my protein levels are up higher and that is helpful. I've been eating the same breakfast more or less the last 2 weeks which is plain greek yogurt with fruit. Sometimes there's some granola but I've found that I would rather use those calories on fruit. It's a really filling breakfast and I find that I'm not hungry till around noon (typically i eat that around 7:30).

My plan is to get out running a few times a week too. I'm hoping during the time that Jym is home over the next week and a half to get out at least 4-5 times. Plus the nice thing about his next long trip is that it's during the week when i'll be home with James as daycare is closed so I should be able to get out to run at least a few times that week.

My fear is that one of these weeks I'll stop seeing the weight loss on the scale during my twice weekly weigh ins. So far they've been good and those weigh ins have included losses of .5 to 2.2 pounds. I'm sure we'll be at the pool for a good portion of the coming weeks. This could be a good thing as it's a little more activity (pending I can get James in the big pool).

Time will tell. I think I'm on the right track. I do know that I'm going to have to get better about actually measuring my lunch/dinner. I've been good about measuring breakfast but when I make lunch I should measure that out. And dinner it's easy enough to measure that too so I know how much I'm eating and don't track under/over. I do have to say that most of the time I'm not craving snacky/junky food like i have in the past although at the same time I'm not saying no i can't have it. I do readjust my day if I want it. And on Saturday the kids wanted breadsticks and so they had them and then I ate lunch when we got home.   I didn't feel like I was missing out and it wasn't an issue to  wait till i got home.

That's it for now - hopefully Tuesday's weigh in goes well and i can get in a few runs this week/weekend.
